Probably been covered before , my 2005 sport 2.7 SE stereo has stopped working , lights up & volume will go up & down but just base noise nothing else !
Any ideas , things to check please ! Can it be bypassed with new head unit ??

Are you saying you are just getting base from the tailgate sub ?

Not heard of that issue before. It could be the amp, under the drivers seat. (note the amp colour (black or silver) is important and not interchangeable


fitting an aftermarket headunit, will cause the colour display above to stop working. (unless you keep the rear half of the headunit connected (and stored in upper glovebox)

Fitting an aftermarket headunit (if you have an amp under the drivers seat), you will need to purchase a speaker extension loom, to run between the headunit and drivers seat. Usually these fetch ~£200
