Hard reset - Gearbox adaptations

Hi,

Just a quick question, does a hard reset, joining the battery cables (once removed from the battery of course), would this reset the gearbox adaptations ?

Many thanks

Gearbox reset

1. Press Start button but don't turn on the engine.
2. Press the Accelerator down to the floor for about 15 seconds.
3. Hit the start button again to turn off the power.
4. Remove foot from Accelerator
5. Wait for 2 Mins.
6. Start the engine and Drive

Many thanks.

Sorry, perhaps I worded it incorrectly.

So doing a hard reset, would not affect the adaptations ?

I only ask as I have done a few jobs lately that involved doing a hard reset, egr hardware/software tweak and I've noticed the gear changes are now above 2000rpm. But perhaps its the cold weather.

Many thanks

A hard reset wouldn't reset the gearbox adaptations, I believe.

Holding revs for longer is part of the process of getting the engine warmed up when it's cold. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Many thanks for the confirmation.

Many thanks
