A cam sensor fault code could mean the cambelt is slack. 2007 models are particularly prone.

See if the tensioner has tried to escape the belt cover at the front drivers side

Thank you do you know if the turbo code would be related or a separate issue

Turbo code unrelated. VVT common to sieeze up. (Usually free them up to get some more life out of them )

2008 also prone to belt tensioner problems.

I doubt you will be driving it home!

Well that's what I get for hopeful thinking lol what would I be looking for on the tensioner is it bearing or internal spring that is prone to going do you know also at the risk of sounding stupid what is a vvt in regards to the turbo I only know it as variable valve timing Embarassed

The tensioner is bolted to the oil pump.
The bracket on the oil pump breaks off.
So you need to fit the updated oil pump and fix whatever damage has been done to the valves in the head. Either new valve lifters or second hand heads.

Turbo least of your problems. Look up vvt on YouTube. It’s the way it controls the boost, rather than a wastegate

Sadly these tdv6 engines are prone to failure.
If it’s not one thing it’s another
