England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black
2012 L320 Changing Headlights

I've never been happy with the headlights on my RRS and I'm confused by all the conflicting information I've found on YT and the web.

Is it worth replacing my headlights (and front lights) with LEDs or should I just stick with the standard ones?

Either way, the bulbs need to be replaced.

Does anyone have advice or links?

TIA Thumbs Up

I have a MY12 L320 and have to say my headlights are very good and have no complaints. Driving in the EU is no issue either.
Have you tried replacing the bulbs? 2018 Telsa MS

Do you have the halogen or hid version

I disassemble mine as the glass globes were full of dust and the difference is astonishing

Reading from my spec. list it's supposed to have the Xenon HID, but from what I can see without taking them out, they look like ordinary halogen.

I'll take one out tomorrow so I can see for sure . . .

It'll be HID xenon for dip beam and main beam, with an H7 "fill-in" for main beam.

If you look at the sticker on the light, it'll tell you what you've got as your HID bulb (D2S, D3S, etc.). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Park your car facing a wall or similar.

Go out at night and turn on the headlights.

HIDs will brighten up over a few seconds and may change colour slightly.

Also when you flash/select the main beam with the headlights on, you should hear clicking from the headlights

Or just read the information on the headlight unit itself. Whistle Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
