I am looking for a fairly basic scanner for my MY2017 4.4 RR Sport, which can read codes, clear them and ideally carry out a forced DPF regeneration.

I have seen this on Amazon which is around what I want to spend, but can anyone give me advice on this and alternative options with a budget ideally under £150

I have an iCarsoft LRvii which does all these functions, but cannot program. I think they've now moved on to viii. It does all JLR models without codes or logins being required and no subscription needed. It even does free updates.

I've been very happy with mine and it's got me out of trouble on several occasions.

There are more expensive readers (eg GAP IID) which can program and lots of people recommend them but I have no experience of it.

Thanks Goffy, I have now ordered the v3 as apparently the v2 will not do a forced DPF regen on my 2017 RRS.
