There an interesting thread on the Disco forum, where they have discovered that the D3 and therefore preseumably the RRS cant work with LED bulbs in the trailer light board. This is becuase the ECU seemingly pulses the bulbs to determine that the trailer is present. On normal incandesent bulbs this effec doesnt cause any light outout, but seemingly on LEDs it does cause flashing etc.

Bit of a bummer as I just brough a set of waterproofs LED for the boat trailer ( well for one of the boat trailers)

Simple resistor mod should fix this.
Upshot: buy your trailer from someone with a bit of electrical nous or DIY until LED lights becomes so prevalent that *all* car manufacturers adapt their wiring to suit.

Hey BoatMad any harm in asking where you got your set of Waterproof LED’s for the trailer ??

I’ve been searching for a neat set of rear lamps for my trailer, but all I can find are rather large 24V units which are more suitable for a truck than a trailer.
