There is also an offer of a free pair of sleeping key fob batteries which I have sent for following which they replied saying they had my order and I should get them within 6 MONTHS!! 2017 3.0 SDV6 HSE |

No they are batteries that sleep after 3 minutes of no movement so the scanning picks up nothing.

But now when you press the button on the fib to unlock the car thieves can pick up and copy the signal from much further away, say in supermarket car park and either block the signal so your car won’t lock properly or copy the signal to steal it later.
