It’s not often I use my RRS in the dark due to work van etc but when I do I can guarantee I get flashed by oncoming traffic assuming I have my main beam on. Anyway I had to drop my other half off on Friday evening as she was going out and as usual I got flashed at least 4 times. So today I thought I would adjust the vertical beam on my lights after reading o few posts on here and seems easy to do. I have a Peugeot Expert van and have never been flashed in the dark with that so I thought I would use the height of the headlight beam as a marker. The height of the lights on the van and RRS are very similar.I put the van in front of my garage and started it up and with headlights on I used some tape to mark the top of the headlight beam. Then I pulled the RRS into the same place as my van , same distance away etc. The car was in access mode and the top of the beam was at least 6 inch lower than the van top of the beam. Then I put the car into normal driving height then off road height and the top of the beam was still way lower than the top of the van headlight beam. In fact they were still probably around 6 inch lower than the van beam marker. Im assuming the self leveling headlights are doing their job correctly. So I haven’t adjusted the headlights at all. Im assuming it may be headlights themselves and the way they project the light is the issue rather than height of the headlights.

Sounds like it might just be the way your lights are seen by other motorists. Never been flashed once in my mine yet. I used to have the same issue as you in my M2. I would get flashed quite often, its headlights were quite a bit brighter though.

It could be a build up of debris or maybe with the headlight lens being peppered with small stone chips the light beam could be being scattered more causing it to dazzle people.
