Pre conditioning from App

Hi
Tried to set pre conditioning from the app couple of times
I can select time, timed climate and smart charging but on clicking apply I get an error message « an error or occurred, please try again later » rest of the app works perfectly and displays all updated information.
Anyone faced the same?

Am I maybe using an old version of the app - as from my Apple Watch LR app I can select temperature when activating cabine heating/cooling but can’t find this setting in the phone app - that is just switching on cabine heating

Koen

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Zambezi Silver

My car is a 2015 but also uses the app for remote heating. It’s always a gamble wether it works or not first time and I get the same message sometimes. I usually start the process again once I get the message and then it works. I much preferred the old system where you had a separate remote control for the remote heating. Technology eh?……..

Hi,

When buying my D300 L461, I tried to find out what the “pre-conditioning” add-on (£1500) was.

The answer was that it was to pre-condition the battery in a PHEV to optimal operating temperature, so I “declined”.

Setting the cabin temperature remotely starts the engine and warms both it and the cabin to the temp selected in the App for 30 mins.

Doing this from my iPhone works perfectly!

With the PHEV, you can elect whether to start the engine, or alternatively use the battery, to pre-heat the cabin. 2024 RRS L461 P460e AB

I would have thought it would be the fuel fired heater on a diesel, nothing to do with PHEV. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

Hi jimbg,

It’s my fifth diesel sport, my twelfth Land Rover from the same dealer (and salesman).

My question was quite specific - the answer was hard won - I don’t believe the L461 (UK) has a separate fuel fired heater - it’s remote start through the App or nothing - if I could have been convinced there was one, I might have added it.

Pre-conditioning was definitely to get the battery up to optimum temperature on a cold day.

£1500 saved!😀

Here’s info from the manual!

I don’t know on the Diesel
Mine is a P460e - don’t recall to have the battery precondition as an option to add but was standard. The P460e cabine preconditioning is battery driven so no more fuel heather.

I was trying to remotely set the PHEV battery pre-conditioning from the app and that seems not to work

BTW - if I use the screen to set battery precondition it automatically does the cabine preconditioning.
