L320 random DSC error at start up

Hello

I noticed different warning indicators sequence at truck start up and today I captured it during commuting for some shopping:

1. 6:60 AM - first start in the mornig:HDC and DSC stays on for a while, no warning messages

2. 7:09 AM - second start after few kilometers later - all good:

3. 7:34 AM - third start after another few kilometers - all good

4. 7:44 - fourth start - after washing the car - DSC and warning message - unfortunatel can't e seen - the final message was "Special programs off" - but quickly disapered

5. 7:45 - fifth start just after previous one - all good

Any idea what could be the reason of such behaviour? Could it be a weak battery?

Bests
Greg

Check the battery as a first step. Check it engine on and engine off. Ideally leave it to stand for 12 hours minimum after engine run before checking it with the engine off as it will have surface charge from the engine being run and this will give a falsely high reading. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Looks like it's battery. I measured it while cranking and it's not good... when ignition is on voltage drops to 11.75V, at cranking it drops to 9.75V. Need to check the battery at service then.

Get a decent smart charger on it and try to get it charged - 11.75V is about 20% charged and using it at that level will surely damage it. If you can't get it to charge and hold good charge then it's new battery time.

Your usage isn't helping the battery. Several starts and short journey one after the other isn't giving the battery/generator time to recharge. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
