Anti roll bar removal without lifting the shell

Hi does anyone know if a new ACE bar can be fitted at the rear of a 2010 range rover sport without the shell being lifted

I believe it has to be lifted a bit (a couple of inches or so) although it doesn't require the whole body to be fully removed. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

No idea, I'm afraid as I've never done it. I believe some have done it at home so presumably it is possible with a suitable jacking device. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Did the job last weekend on the drive, used 2 bottle jacks to lift body (had to place them on some railway sleepers because I had the car up in the air on axle stands....

One thing to note is that the guide I was using did not mention that you need to disconnect the little rear dampers between chassis and body (right by tail pipes and the large swinging lump of steel)...without that the whole thing started to lift!!

Also be careful where you place the jacks.

A pig of a job, mainly because the torq bolts that fix the pipes to the roll bar would not come off, thank goodness for my dremel. Removed propshaft to improve access.

Guys thank you so much for your advice, at least I know it can be done without the whole shell being lifted at £2000

Hello also interested in the guide for removing ace anti roll bar without lifting body. Thank you

I have now created my own post which also says how I changed the anti roll bar.
