England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver
Rear locking diff pin weeping

My 2018 Autobiography Dynamic was in the main dealers and this was reported:

Transmission
Inspection Notes:
Rear locking diff pin weeping/leaking oil (o'ring failure).
Estimated price is £2795.95

I’ve got JLR extended warranty and the dealer said they would put a claim in. After nearly 6 months of me chasing them and not getting any response I complained to JLR. The dealer phoned me and said the claim had been approved and booked it in saying they would need it for at least a day maybe two.
After two days I phoned to find out what was happening and they said they had only just started on it but were having trouble getting one of the flanges off. Ended up getting it back after 3 days.
Checked my dashcam footage and they weren’t working on the car when they said they were and the car only spent about an hour on the ramp.
Phoned them and asked what they had actually done and was told that all of the work was completed, I told them about the dashcam footage and they said they got it done quickly.

Does anybody know what is involved in the work? Can’t help thinking something is amiss here?
