Leak off pipe blown off

I'm away on holiday with the family (typically) in Scarborough. Noticed a strong smell and some smoke. Pulled over and leak off pipe on the back injector passenger side had blown off. I put it back on, but did the same the next day.

Not secured with some cable ties, and seems to be holding.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas on a fix? I see you can buy a full set of new pipes and fittings.

Cheers,

Gareth

There’s a clip that secures it to the injector. They’re a bit fiddly to install. If the pipe end is damaged they can pop off. Do you have the clip? 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

Hi Gareth,
I assume you mean the hose has popped of the plastic nipple plugged into the injector.
I had this on my D3, No. 1 injector spill hose kept blowing, so replaced the short hose cable tied in place but only lasted a short time. Bit the bullet and replaced the spill pipe assembly - genuine one, after small engine room fire, but still blew off. Changing the injector cured it. Initially it only happened under load but very gentle driving was OK. Had the fire towing up a hill, so I think the injector was leaking badly under load blowing and finally bursting the hose spraying fuel on the hot exhaust.
Hope you find the cause before it gets too bad.
Bill
