My 2014 5.0 V8 SC is due the dreaded timing chain service and the parts come to an eye watering figure.
I had a look at some of the big ticket items on the quotation from my indie mechanic and I could save quite a bit if I got them off eBay.

My question is, are these pirate parts?
I'm not referring to those that have some strange brand name but those where the product pictures show the parts in bags with what look like LR/Jag labelling.

Given the damage that a broken timing chain can wreak on this engine I'm not willing to risk it, but I'm still curious if anyone has bought them or knows about them for a fact.
