About to pay deposit on a Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE Ingenium 3,0 litre 6-cylinder 460PS Twin Turbocharged Petrol PHEV but I’m getting crazy quotes

Would appreciate advice on best place to insure - LR want £321pm (£171pm with £150 cashback) but concerned next year they double premiums and I’m selling for a massive hit

Just renewed with the AA via the meerkat for £364 fully comp. Could have got it for even less, but that one didn't include windscreen cover.
Existing insurer helpfully informed me that not only had their annual price gone up by £100 but the compulsory excess was now £5000. Yes, five thousand pounds!
Why not just say that they don't want my business in a polite way?

I suppose no business use and recent retirement helped the AA price as well.

Muddy I went with LR, £28 per month! My annual quote from them was £1800. The discount is available for 3 years once you sign up as long as nothing changes during your time with them but it’s a monthly deal and you cannot pay annually. I was able to get multiple companies to quote around £900 annual for me. I suppose if you got a speeding ticket, when you update them they could say your premium increases extortionately and your only options are pay it or go somewhere else if that did happen.

Have you tried LV for insurance? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I will take a look at LV but after spending all day I tried MSE and got a quote for £1138 with admiral so think I’m fine with that
