Camshaft sensor location L320 2.7l

Have it booked for a diagnostic on wed am...But have been told that the crank sensor code can mask a CAMSHAFT sensor failure .

So where the ???? is the camshaft sensor ..or am I blind . told its easy to replace. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

In the link in your other threads, it shows that the gap iid can read the crank sensor speed. So I would like to think that would be conclusive.

To answer your question. Cam sensor is on the passenger side head at the front

The sensor is hidden at the side of the engine, held in with one bolt.

I have an i- carsoft reader and it did say camshaft P06633 but one garage has told me the crankshaft sensors rarely fail and a bad camshaft sensor can give a false reading ..who knows we shall see.

If its on the LHS its hiding very well as I cannot see it Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

I think that shows live data

Look up crank and cam speed. See if you get numbers when cranking.
