The age old question is being asked but there really is no guide on how todo this.

My ACE pump has imploded on itself. Discovered previous owner had sharpied the ACE light on the dash. Under very dark light you can see it on.

As a result of no ACE fluid, rotten pipes etc the pump has completely shattered and was making an awful noise.

Now progress I have made so far...

Remove plastic covers from engine bay
Remove Fan using fan removal tool from powerful uk (£40)
Use 1/2 inch breaker bar to loosen belt
Take belt off
Tensioner pulley removed (15 mm socket)


That gives you enough room to play around.

I have bought the non-ace belt but for the life of me cannot get it to fit. (this was suggested in other posts)

What is next? What can I do to bypass this system while I get the parts to replace the pipes and pump?
