Hi,

I have a Range Rover Sport L494 from November 2016.
I'm curious whether something like TSR can be activated afterwards, perhaps via JLR SDD.

I have no idea what exactly it takes, but maybe someone can help me out...

It can be activated via Gap IID but only if you replace the interior mirror with the correct camera, I believe that comes with TSR and HBA.

There are guides in this forum on this and I have done it too.

the pic from me best describes them, it can be done but it will need to be a miror from a car in the same build period as 2016 was in the middle.

late 2015 they changed the can bus speed and then again in 2017 they changed it to Flexray when the larger dahs screen was released prior to the 2018 facelifts.

Its best to find one from a wrecked car as the mirro will already have the firmware installed on it making the job easier.

For another add on you can have LDW lane departure warnign enables too but this needs a switch change dont have to but it means its quick to turn off (its the button done by the boot open one)

If yo car already has LDW then its already easy to turn on TSR, not sure many didnt have it though if they had ldw.

The satnav will subsitute the TSR if it cant see a sign but not always so having that as up to date as you can is handy although thee are no updates past 2021 as far as actual maps go now.

TSR is pretty ahndy in palces you dont know I guess but the rule of thumb on how close the street lights are still works for knowing is slow!

You will need a Gap IID tool (they even have this mod on their support page or get the hardware youself and try someone like LR RETROFITS (or they might supply the hardware and then flash it with new firmware so getting a new mirror isnt so much hassle.
