Should I do it

Thoughts please, I have seen a 2018 hse dynamic v6 in black milage 78000 3 owners, full service history and it’s for sale at a main dealers and will come with a years warranty. It does not have the pan roof which is not a deal breaker for me but it does have the deployable tow bar which ticks the box. Would you run for the hills!! What could possibly go wrong Surprised anything I should be looking/ listening for, any pointers will be most grateful Cool

Cheers
Mark

I’m on my fourth one now and think they are an outstanding car… as an approved used it has even more going for it… plan your service to coincide about a month before the warranty ends and ask the garage to go over it with a fine tooth comb.. they get paid by the warranty company so it’s in their interest!

Take it on a European holiday.. don’t fly ..drive there.. they are an exquisite vehicle for long distance trips..
I’ve done tours of Italy in mine, taking in the Amalfi coast and the Alps… stunning scenery and no better cars to do it in!

Thank you for the replies Very Happy So just a little update, I’ve purchased a 2018 autobiography in Santorini black with the black pack 60k have to say it looks the nuts Cool with full service history. Went round it with a fine tooth Combe lol, it has been well kept, they agreed to sort out a couple of paint issues, it’s got new discs and pads all round and had a big service carried out. Managed to negotiate £250 of of the extended 3 year warranty which with the discount made it £1250 so it now has 4 years warranty Cool also badgered them into a full tank of fuel Very Happy hopefully collect it friday Very Happy will get a picture or 5 when its home

Cheers

You've got 4 years of warranty for £1,250.00? Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

Hi Timhun,
Yes they have an option to extend by 1,2 or 3 years. The 3 years is on a deal at £1500 which I got for £1250 Cool add that onto the complimentary 1 year that the auc car comes with makes it a real bargain Smile not sure how long the offer is running for but if you don’t take it at point of purchase it’s over a grand a year to extend once the original warranty expires. Was definitely a no brainer for me

That is a bargain. I pay around £1K a year for an aftermarket warranty and luckily had my monies worth so far….. LR won’t even offer me a warranty on my car due to age I presume

I believe the warranty they offer is up to ten years old or 100k.
I definitely feel like I’ve done well plus a full tank of fuel Cool mind don’t expect it to last long Very Happy

Just thought I’d update,
Not sure how I missed it but it started to become apparent that the last owner was a smoker Rolling Eyes the dealership managed to hide it very well as I had two test drives and then collection day it did not manifest itself. After a good few days when opening the door I’d get that whiff of stale smoke hit me and now it’s quite pungent Big Cry I have raised the issue with the dealers to which they obviously say they are surprised Rolling with laughter they have booked me in next Monday with their interior specialists Whistle Laughing for them to sort it out. I’ve looked into the best way of getting this sorted which is a full interior steam clean to remove the bacteria and then use a ozone generator, all of which I bet the clowns they have lined up won’t do, reckon they will use fabreze. Really peed off as other than that it’s a great motor, hopefully they will suprise me and do the job correctly Very Happy will report back once they’ve had their go at it Thumbs Up

Hopefully should get it out…
Reminds me of a old Range Rover Classic i bought back in the 80’s… put my hand down the left side of the drivers seat squab and it felt all rough.. looked closer and it was the horrible remnants of where the original owner picked his nose! Yuk!
