United States 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Java Black

I do have the 4.4 V8 "Petrol" engine (HSE). Is this the BMW Engine - can it be "Tweaked"

YES.

Take it to your stealer and swap it for a TDV8.

IMHO. If it has no turbo or SC the cost will be prohibitive relative to power gain Sad  SDV8 vogue SE.

You boys state side need to get with the program Whistle

I was in CA 2 weeks ago and the hire car was a GUTLESS 5.7ltr Hemi with a 3 speed box that did 13.8 mpg.

Show it a hill and it went backwards. If you put your foot down NOTHING happened Embarassed

Push harder and it "Kicked down"

Not pleasant.

A TDV8 would eat the hills in CA. And at your speeds limits probably do 26mpg

but the dealers now flog it as an after-sales accessory!

They also offered me,in Holland, did it, but what to expect ?

I did not get/asked for details.

They asked to do it for "highway" or "torque".

We decided to go for torque, but what to expect?

Expect 30% on top of manufacturers figures HP OR NM Bow down

Figures for "Before T. Chip" All moving figures are taken from the lower flat speed not through from below under power. Those figures would be a lot quicker.

0-60 from still in sports mode and no silly holding the break pedal down

0-60 : 8.5secs
30-50 : 4.3 secs
50-70 : 5.8 secs
60-90 : 9.5 secs

New times:
30-50 big jump now consistantly 3.00
50-70 4.4
60-90 8.0

0-60 not possible today to many cars about

Truck still very new and times are better if I AVOID sport mode. Best let her change up earlier and use the grunt and that she has in spades

Wifey's E class has my respect also serious mid range wallop now

Fuel no better or worse. But more grunt available across the board. Should be an animal after 3k or so  SDV8 vogue SE.
