2014 L494 Drivers door stuck locked unless using keyless ent

Hi guys,

Any ideas how to reset central locking?

My drivers door won't open from the inside or the outside, even when using the key from inside the keyfob. The door lock/unlock button on the door operates all other doors correctly, but the drivers door stays locked, and the lock symbol stays illuminated.

The easy answer would be the locking mechanism has seized, however if i roll the window down and put my keyfob near the keyless sensor i can then use the external handle to open the door! But the lock symbol stays illuminated, and still even after doing this there's no other way to open the door.

The mirrors are also behaving a little strangely... not folding out when i unlock the car using the keyfob, but they do unfold when i click the unlock button on the inside of the car.

Few things online suggest faulty BCM or dying battery... any other tips?

Lastly, i think i caused this myself... i was a little eager to get out of the car at the petrol station, and i tried to open the door while still moving slightly, and thats when it got stuck like this...

Disconnect the battery and leave for 5 mins to reset everything then reconnect. It’s worth a try and won’t cost you anything
