My car needs new rear disks and pads (RRS MY17 3.0 diesel autobiography with 21" wheels).

The LandRover website quotes the following and I can book in online:

Discs & Drums (Less Run Out Check) - Rear Brake Pads and Discs £550.09
Shoes & Pads - Rear Brake Pads/Shoes £190.08

I need pads and discs, so am expecting a bill of £550

The local independent chap says he can't get near that price to fit rear discs and pads - the parts alone are about 80% of that.

Am I missing something here? Are LR dealers using non-genuine parts or are they selling at a loss? RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

look on e bay ..I just fitted pads and rear discs for £80 Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.
