Programming the Land Rover Button on the Ignition Key

Hi All

Has anyone successfully programmed the LR button on the key to opperate the susspension remotely?
I can make the LR button open the rear door or panic alarm but not the suspension.

Anyone had the same problem?

Thanks in advance
JG

HI VA

Maybe I have misunderstood the manual then as I read it needed the hazzards to be activated but I read that to be setting the button up not needing to be on at the time.
What is the use of that then!?
Why would you want the Hazzards on to adjust the height.

Oh well just have it opperating the boot then.

Thanks again VA

JG

Remote suspensions raising/lowering is a useful feature if you have a trailer to hook up to the Sport on your own. Being able to raise or lower the car remotely makes it easier to line up the trailer hitch with the receiver. Otherwise, it's a pretty useless feature (due to the hazzards requirement, that is.)

Thanks umbertob
Not having a trailer I couldnt see a use but now you have explained I see the possibility and you would probably have the hazzards on at the time.

I was hoping it would be usefull for raising suspension after parking to avoid the door knocks as it has been posted here that raising the suspension helps protect if you have steps to catch the offenders door.

Of course I would put a soft protector on the step so as not to damage the other car!!

When I first bought the car I couldn't wait to enable that feature so that my friends could go "Oooh!" and "Aaah!" from a distance. Bummer!

Would be nice to have a combination of -
Lower Vehicle & Lights On & Un-Lock.

Side note - Is there any way to have the lights turn on when the vehicle is un-locked via the remote?

Not automatically. My old Volvo S80 used to light up that way when unlocked. I think I replaced H7 halogen bulbs on the headlights of that POS at least a dozen times in 4 years of ownership, though. Don't know if that was related.

Don't think so - had another car with HID that did it for 5 years before the bulbs needed changing.

I feel it's a nice feature to have - hopefully a hack comes out for it soon.

Feel its pretty useless to have only 1 feature programmed - would have just settled for having the car lowered from the remote.
