Having just re-read the diagnostic sheet. It states "light caused by too many failed DPF attempts". Given I had only covered 250-300 miles it surely could have tried to regen that many times....and if it did why does the DPF light not come on rather than the EML. |

Hi i had this with my van recently kept saying to go on a run to clear but never did, turned out to be the fuel vapouriser that helps to get it up to the correct temp, if your is that id go back to who you bought of to get it sorted at their cost under warranty. |

Issue can be typically related to thtottle body getting stuck...known issue.

By way of update, I have now had the issue looked at by 2 different private mechanics (both specialise in Land Rovers). The second one has diagnosed the Throttle Body - so thanks Ash it look's like you were right! This is apparently causing a turbo overboost fault on the ECU which is also then causing the DPF not to carry out a passive regen. Still beyond me how a main LR dealer couldn't diagnose it.

Just had my throttle body replaced - it looked pristine, but it was sticking and throwing up that error (plus stopping the DPF from regenerating). I don't think just cleaning the throttle body would have had much benefit. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB
