Nothing unusual, range adjusts to driving style. I can get 600 miles on a long Motorway journey using cruise and sticking to 60mph.

When it claims to be empty there is still 10 litres in the tank ... Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Thanks to both of you and confirming it is normal. |

If the vehicle has had the fuel tank 'slap' problem addressed then there is a fuel capacity deficit over the stated capacity as the LR fix involves shoving bags into the tank to effectively dampen the slosh or slap sound. Think the bags loose you approx. 5 litres of capacity. |

Funny you mention the slap problem, I don’t think it has been rectified on mine because I can hear the slop/slosh of fuel (almost sounds like a knock) when I get to mid-tank fuel level on low gears (irritating to say the least). Cutting edge tech by installing bags lol |

Maybe worth asking a MD to see if there is any record of it being done, definitely solves the problem as I had it done on my 2014 early on and never heard any noise since. Guess you'll lose even more range if you do have it done |

Will do, is there any technical term to mention when talking with MD re this? Assuming it wasn’t part of a recall and any rectification will need to be done will be at the expense of my wallet? If so, then in might leave it as long as it doesn’t cause any wider issues. Then at least I’ll have my range 😂 |

Just checked on topix and it's LR Tech bullitin ref LTB00668V7 (most recent) and issue is shown as existing on 2016 MY onwards, I've uploaded a copy to my gallery and linked below. If you bought from dealer network, I'd be arguing it should have been addressed, if private purchase - no harm in asking!

I'm not aware of it causing any problems, other than it being annoying!

Well contacted Land Rover online and they said that I contact my local MD, which I will do but they have said the fix wouldn’t be covered as part of a recall which I assumed. If MD are going to charge me for diagnosing the issue and then on top of that charge to fix, is it really worth my while besides the annoyance? The car is going in for a timing belt change (both belts) so might ask my Indy to look into it.

I don't think they could charge to diagnose as its a known fault, just say please carry out LR TSB blah, blah. Think there is a time allowance shown in the doc.

I couldn’t see a time allowance on the sheet anywhere but I might be wrong (if you can confirm).

Workshop time allowances are shown on bottom of page 3 and continued onto page 4. Think yours looks like 5 hours labour.
