3.6 TDI V8 Turbo health

Happy New Year to everyone!
Does not seem to be a lot of info regarding the 3.6TDI V8 out there. Don't have much hands-on experience with Diesel motors.
I have a 2008 RRS 3.6TDI V8 which I'm currently working through some EGR cooler issues, I thought I would remove the two lower intercooler hoses to check on how much oil was there after watching a U Tube video of oil pouring out (albeit with engine running) with blown turbo.
Is that amount of oil from the cooler hoses something I should be concerned about? Toothbrush for size comparison.....
Thoughts?

Plenty of information if you put the actual "TDV8" name into search box instead of a non-existent "TDI V8"

No photo of your toothbrush visible here, unfortunately. You just uploaded it and didn't insert into the post, so it ended up in your gallery.

Definitely one (or both) of your turbos sweats oil, some of it has been blown into the intake and burned, this is the residue amount and it would have me slightly worried. How about the dipstick? Any signs of oil vanishing from the engine? A diesel engine should ideally not consume any oil at all, turbo being the usual weakest point of all of them (except for BMW, they fail in all aspects, being great designs terribly executed). Regards etc.,

Remember that the crankcase ventilation system blows in to the inlet side of the RH turbo, so there will be some oil present just from that.

It should but no system is 100% perfect so there will always be some oil vapour finding its way down there over time. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Sorry, here are both sides.

doesn't seem to use any oil, although I have only had the vehicle for 3 months or so.

Once I get the EGR's sorted out and all back together, will try this with the engine running and see how much oil comes out.
