APR Change

The APR for D300 and D350 derivatives has dropped to 5.9% from today for the next quarter which is pretty competitive in the current market. The £5k deposit contribution also remains but I’m unclear how much the residual has changed.

Petrol and PHEV remain unchanged @ 9.9%.

I think this tells us that JLR clearly want to shift more diesel RRS.

I noticed this as well. I’ve got a P550e on order that I’ve got until February to lockdown the spec, I'm tempted to change to a D350 as the price delta is huge now.

I’ve done exactly that! Dealer had to create a new order but it got slotted very quickly for end of March build.

Will have to have a chat with the dealer then. I kind of get the price difference but the APR difference is ridiculous, it would almost suggest they expect the P460/550 residuals to be significantly worst than the diesel so a higher finance risk.

I think it’s more they’re struggling to shift diesel RRS and not the PHEVs so they feel they ‘need’ to do something to sweeten it which this definitely does!

Seemingly so but they’ll be struggling to shift any at this rate with 9.9% apr combined with the insurance nonsense.

My main issue with the diesel is the rear valance seems an after thought, on the Phev you’ve got the twin pipe styling, the diesel just looks like they cut a hole on the passenger side.

Completely agree. The D350 engine is pretty good and well suited to the car though IMO.

I think it’s quite telling what the overall situation is given the wait time is now 6-9 months max.
