With my recent vacuum/intake air leak issues on my TDV8, one thing that kept bothering me was why I am getting an error message on the dash (Engine System Failure) but it's not triggering the EML, and nor were there any relevant DTC codes showing up on the diagnostics.

Has anyone else experienced similar with their L320? Why would it trigger the dashboard message, but not the EML light, nor throw out a DTC code?

I first thought its my cheap diagnostic reader that was just missing something, but two different Indies checked it with Launch, Wurth and Autel and Snap On readers, and didn't pick anything up either?

Like I said in the other thread, car is in to Land Rover tomorrow morning to replace the cracked inlet pipe, which will hopefully sort it all out. Will be interesting to see if their diagnostics picks up anything all the others missed.
