Hi Guys

Having problems on car which i think maybe the telematics box, have spent hours and hours on the net trying to find what exactly this box controls before i buy a new one.

The faults i am getting are the following

1/ SOS warning on dash, i have replaced this battery twice i 12 months, it was also changed just be fore i got the car….both times i changed the battery i reset it with my launch x431.

2/ I cannot set the time and date (boxes stay greyed out).

3/ Car Navigation thinks it is in Ireland, instaed of north east England.

4/ Can not download any updates, despite it being connected to Wi-Fi.

Have just fitted a new main battery as was getting the low battery warning (also reset with the launch).

What’s you thoughts on the symptoms????, i think they are related, is there anyway to check the gps antena?? As this would give the location and time of the car.

Finally if i do get a new unit (£450 plus vat)does it need to be programmed by the JLR on there computer or is it plug and play module.

Look forward to any replies, especially if you had the same fault and managed to rectify it.
