Service / disk question (57 plate 3.0 AB)

Just had a 6 year service (50k miles - not doing as many journeys anymore) at the dealer. I had a service pack for the first 5 years and got it done there for convenience and because I still have the extended warranty (I figured more likely to get support, even though it's a third party company).

Anyway, all fine. Passed the MOT at the same time. Couple of things picked up. The usual "brakes are wearing", but this time they said that the rears were very thin ("around 2mm/1.5mm") and the "wear indicator has actually rubbed through". Plus to keep an eye on the front hydro bushes which are wearing.

Questions:

Why is there no warning on the dash if the wear indicator has rubbed through? Isn't that what the wear indicator is for? I couldn't see exactly what he was talking about on the video they send.

Should you replace disks with pads, or is it OK to replace pads alone? Disks are always going to be a bit lipped. I don't want to waste money nor do I want to be needlessly bad for the environment disposing of still useful parts.

What is the "fixed price servicing" and parts for older vehicles? They had a price for the service for the past 5 years when I went online to book it (fortunately I had a service plan), and it doesn't seem any cheaper now than it was before.

Can anyone recommend an independent LR specialist in the Somerset / Devon region, preferably one that can upload service data to the LR online service record? I could probably do a lot of mildly technical stuff myself if I had a YouTube video to follow, but I don't have all the kit (jacks, stands, etc.) so there wouldn't be much value in trying. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB
