Discovered today the source of a very loud tump from the rear of my sport when crashing over potholes. The arb bush has not enough wear to let the bar move up/down or back and forth. It does however have enough wear to let the bar slide in and out causing a very loud thump. I was chasing this thump for weeks with a large pry bar testing all the bushes and found them to be all ok. I even wrapped harmonic dampers in foam to see if it was the cause. I’m sure you guys already know to check this but thought it might be of help.

The bar has to have some lateral movement as it's a spiral groove that counters the roll torque. So there must be some lateral movement when the bar is operating. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
