United States 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
Aftermarket Air Intake for 2010 SC?

Hey yall I just recently got a 2010 RRS SC and have no previous modding experience. I want to make the supercharger whine louder and a hair increase in HP with the addition of an aftermarket AI. I dont know if adding one will just make the car slower and/or if it will need a tune after the installation.
This is the AI i am planning on buying.

There is a more expensive one but I dont have the money for that right now. Any help is appreciated.

It’s got 2 air intakes. That’s plenty

You increase the chances of drawing in hot air, which will reduce performance

So having an open air intake will make it worse? Because I was looking for an increase in whine. If thats the case do you know anything else that can help with the SC whine to make it louder? I removed the plastic hood cover but thats pretty much it.

Thank you for responding, its the first helpful one ive gotten on any forum

Well you could remove the bonnet sound deadening (black frabric)

If it’s anything like the jaguar it’s based on, The supercharger blades are coated in something to make them quiet!

Yea if im right its the 5.0 L AJ-V8 from that was built in combo with Jag and LR. That sucks. I saw a couple cables underneath the bonnet. Will the heat from the engine be a cause of worry to the cables? meaning is there a possibility that the heat will melt the cables under the hood?
