2nd arm rest

Has anyone added a second arm rest to the drivers seat ? ... (I.e. the right hand side on a UK vehicle)

Thanks

I think he's saying between the seat and the door card/B pillar. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Thank you, cpt. Obvious Rolling with laughter
I do not think it is going to fit there. Or there is a fixing point in the seat frame. Or it is actually needed, as the door armrest fits the purpose by design. Regards etc.,

Year's ago I had a transit van that had arm rest's both sides of the drivers seat, and it was a complete f*****g nuisance if you forgot it was down and went to get out of the vehicle, ended up taking it off as it was totally useless. Only a thought, but is there not a airbag in that side of the seat and if you had the armrest up would it not effect the airbag deployment say if "god forbid" the car got "T" boned.

Cheers
Col

I do mean between the seat and the drivers door... for my partner the door one is a little too far to rest on whilst holding the steering wheel.

I'm thinking it might need a bracket fitting to the seat but then a passenger seat armrest could be used.

I too would like a drivers right armrest as I find the door one just that bit too far away.

My last van was a VW T5 with optional "captains seats" - arm rests both sides (soon got into the habit of flicking it up before exiting).

That seat was way more comfortable that that in my RRS. 2006 RRS 2.7 HSE.
