Having still got my Freelander 2 the unofficial way to disable power fold mirrors is

1. Start car up
2. Fold mirrors in via the switch on the drivers door.
3. Get out of car and now manually open the mirrors.
4. Switch car off
5. Double lock the vehicle
6. You should now be smiling as the doors have locked but the mirrors remain in the open position.
7. To reactive in spring simply press the door mirror buttons on the driver door card again.

Does anyone know is the L494 works in the same manner  MY14 Freelander 2 Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

MY17 Estoril Blue SVR - Cirrus/Ebony with 🪣💺’s

I thought it might be in the infotainment centre or vehicle set-up settings, but alas, it's not.
There's no info' in the owners handbook either, so you're guess is as good as mine.
I can understand why you would want to restrict folding though up north. A Cheshire expat in France.

This is from my L320 owners manual:

AUTOMATIC FOLDING
The mirrors can be configured by your Dealer/Authorised Repairer to automatically fold when the vehicle is
locked, and unfold when it is unlocked.
Note: If the mirrors were folded using the switches, they will not unfold when the vehicle is unlocked.

I just checked and it is indeed dealer activated, so, if you can get your hands on JLR SDD diagnostics, your sorted. A Cheshire expat in France.
