Hi everyone.

The wife and I recently purchased a 2015 HSE SDV6 and I have a huge headache with the above fault.

We put the car in to a specialist, who has been unable to get to the bottom of it. They have checked the wiring, inspected the modules in the bumper, carried out a software update and finally had a radar calibration done. Their opinion is that the rear bumper has been resprayed at some point and there is an imbalance on the amount of paint causing the system to close down.

I should add that the left side works fine but when a car passes on the right the system throws up the error and shuts down, leaving the amber led in the mirror illuminated. Turn the car off and the fault goes away temporarily.

can anyone help me out here with some advice on what could be going wrong? Thank you in advance

There is nothing happening on the right hand side at all. There is no warning indicator in the right hand mirror at all when other vehicles are approaching.

Maybe 5-10 minutes into the journey and it’ll throw up the blocked sensor message.
