Windscreen types

I’ve got a 2015 autobiography which has just had a windscreen replacement.
On first inspection it appeared not to have the heater elements (thin wavy wires) but am assured it does. Has the technology changed so you can’t see them anymore?
Also what were the options on Autobiography models regarding tinting as again there appears little tint but I’m assured there is a green tint but something looks different, maybe a top edge full tint? 2015 RRS DIESEL HYBRID

Was this done by AutoGlass? They use cheap knock-off screens rather than Pilkington ones, sadly.

I think solar attenuation was an option back in 2015 (it is these days) so maybe your old screen was attenuating and the new one isn't (or the glass just uses a different tint to get the same result). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Where the windscreen manufactures logo is, ie Pilkington or Mickey Mouse, there should be little icons showing it’s features 🧐🧐🧐🧐

i had one put in that gave errors on the dash, LR plugged it in to say the wrong screen was fitted so autoglass had to change it for Genuine Pilkington.

Netherlands 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue

My car insurance has the option for repairs only at JLR.

Mine just was replaced (in this case by Carglass because unfortunately here they are faster and better than JLR) and so they used the Pinington windscreen.

The heated lines are visible if the glass has them. SW

Sometimes it is not enough to do our best;
sometimes we must do what is required.
