I've been seeing posts on here of delivery dates now starting to flow through, so was getting excited for a date on my First Edition.

Seeing the MY24 arrive and the p510 becoming a p550, I was looking forward to it even more...

Imagine the joy of then being told today that my FE order from launch day last year is now going to be an Autobiography, at some unknown point in the future.

Apparently, it will have some price protection, but no idea how much. The dealer also thinks it should come with the signature audio (but I've seen nothing on the LR website to say it would be anything other then the mid-tier 3d surround).

Has anyone else waiting for a First Edition (or p510) been told this?

Correct. First Edition was available for 23MY only.

I wonder how many of the orders for First Edition cars actually got fulfilled, particularly the PHEV variants?

Seems to be just complete chaos at JLR. The dealer only confirmed to me a few weeks ago that LR had committed to deliver all FE orders on the system... apparently they changed their mind.

Why bother with a new LR at all at the moment? Why throw c.£100k at LR for a car that isn't what you want?

Brand loyalty is great but when the other side of the relationship is treating you like dirt, it's time to look elsewhere.

Let me just qualify that this applies to everyone that is complaining about not getting the car they ordered. Take your money elsewhere. It's the only message that they will listen to. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
