Hi,

I have a Range Rover Sport HSE with the 3.0 SDV6. Was out driving one day and got some bad vibrations from the engine. Took the car to my local repair shop and they said it was a bad injector.

They ordered a new but when they started up the car again to take it into the shop, it was dumping oil like crazy.

I havent seen it myself, but the mechanic said it was dumping oil from some kind of ventilation in the front of the engine.

My question is, where is the oil coming from and how? If it was from the back of the engine where I think the crankcase breather is, it could be a cracked piston due to the bad injector, but not sure what oil can shot out from in the front if the piston is bad.

Any ideas?

Oil pump is in the front, could be that. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory
