United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
Privacy Glass rear of B post - why?

Can anyone tell me why most owners seem to want this cost option?

Is it fashionable as they want to appear mysterious, a must have for resale, to keep the heat from the sun out, to stop theives seeing in the rear, or what?

Personally I just don't get it.

Please make me see sense before it's too late for me to change my spec. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

I would presume that your windows arnt blacked out then, if they were the chances of getting the window smashed from some toe rag wanting to steal something out of the car are going to be reduced, IMHO some of my Previous cars

Could be right Envoy but I think the main thing is to make sure that anything valuable is either taken out of the car or hidden away for instance sat nav holders attract thieves who think that the portable sat-nav may be in the car. I personally don't like blacked out windows. RRS TDV6 HSE BUCKINGHAM BLUE BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR RHODIUM TASMOD SILLS PARROT 3000 EVOLUTION WHITE SIDE REPEATERS RRPORT.CO.UK BROLLY & STICKER

I think the RRS looks so much better with the privacy glass. It accentuates the floating roof effect and I agree with the other reasons already stated.

I've seen the occasional one without it and it dosen't look good. Also I think come selling time....it will sell a lot better with it.

Talking of occasional sightings ....... I actually saw an Atacana Sand in the flesh being driven by an elderly female Shocked Shocked Shocked YUK Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation TDV6 - gone

The female or the car???? Laughing

I don't have privacy glass on my SE, although it would look good with it. There is also the connotation of drugs dealers and low lifers that puts me off having it, the slight green tint of the Pilkington opticool glass that is standard looks OK on the RRS anyway. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
