The MY24 is just the MY23 that they haven't managed to build and deliver to customers yet. Oh, along with a price rise to cover the downgraded stereo (now coming from Richer Sounds) and the new ultra-luxury manually-controlled ventilation system a.k.a. manual windows. I have spend a bit of time combing through the MY24 FFRR configurator to see whether I could get a clue to the 24 RRS.

The PHEV upgrade is just a motor and not a battery so my guess would be that change will be on RRS too.

More importantly all types of Meridian Sound Systems are either standard or optional throughout the range which they were not. I am hoping that will apply to RRS too.

Take a look at the factory on google earth. There are built (or partly built) cars crammed in to every available space.

My current RRS went along the production line and was collected by me just 4 weeks later. Looking at the incredible number of cars sat around the factory with the sticky film on, I would bet that quite a few orders are already physical cars just sitting outside. There is just no chance that any MY24 updates will find their way on to them.

It would make sense for the MY24 car to have more power - it is sharing a v8 with the new X5, which has just had a facelift and power upgrade on some other engine options too. I just don't hold any hope of it applying to many folk that have had an order in for the RRS for more than a month or so.

I’m hoping the recent £5,000 price increase relates to the MY24 updates which should be announced soon, maybe during the SV reveal at the end of the month? 2023 P440e SE Dynamic (ordered Jan. 2023 - delivery expected July 2024!)

I wonder if MY24 will roll 4-wheel steering out across the entire RRS range. That would seem to be a real winner for on-road handling and car park manoeuvring. If I was buying new, I'd rather that than a louder radio. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

From what I've seen looking at wheel rims and people's attempt's at trying to park, aka. abandon their vehicles, some need all the help they can get.

Cheers

So true, Col. Add in rubber band tyres that don't protect oversized rims and it's a recipe for laughing my socks off! Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

The MY24 RR has deleted the ventilation controls, terrain mode controls, volume, etc and put them on the touch screen.

If that makes it to the RRSport it will be pretty disappointing. Big Cry

The way the interiors are going is a real turnoff. Dont like a sea of the buttons, but the ventilation/seat heat/cool and rotary gear selector were all well thought out features they are deleting. Ergonomicically far more appealing than cheaping out by putting everything on the touchscreen.

It makes it easier for designers that can't actually design anything other than the felt tip sketches. Once they have to make things work they're screwed. So stick it all on a touch screen and let the IT guys worry about it. That it means they can have the exact same screen in every model and thus cut costs (whilst not cutting prices) is a bonus for the bean counters.

Ooh, look at my etcha-sketch design! Soooo pretty!

And, yes, I realise that's the 23MY, not the 24MY. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I see the P510e has become a P550e on the RR with the updated motor. I assume the same will happen here so I hope I’m still months down the waiting list on mine so that I don’t effectively get something that is out of date from day 1.
