Has anyone been told they have Summer delivery but an unclear price? I have been told I won't know if my car is to have the 5% increase until the factory invoice the dealer.

Never heard anything like it, how can they know if it was locked in or not

Is the solution just a simple "I want a guaranteed price or I take my money to another manufacturer, thank you" from you?

There are lots of car companies wanting your money.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I am just going to wait for the price closer to the time to see what it ends up being - bonkers

I am still waiting for a build date but I have been told by my dealer that, because I ordered before July 22, my price was protected.

I don't know whether he his making sure I don't jump ship or whether it applies universally but when I made a spec change in December, the new order confirmation price used the same pricing as the original order rather than the pricing current at the time of the revised order.

So was I astonished but I am only reporting what I've seen and been told.

I ordered June 22, my dealer told me I wasn't affected by any price increases. Still no build date so all irrelevant really!

I am also watching the LR web site configurator closely because the FFRR has now had a spec change for PHEVs which are now 460e or 550e so I am wondering whether that will dribble through into RRS for 2024MY cars which I guess mine is likely to be now as that is what they go to after the July shutdown.

I ordered my RRS in May 2022 and have been told there is no price increase.

I have been explicitly told that my May 22 order HAS had at least 1 price rise.

The first was June/July 2022, and I called LR to complain about bait & switch practices (taking orders for cars at a given price and spec, then increasing the price and dropping the spec before they even started building any).

At that time, LR confirmed directly to me that there was a price rise.

The dealer has indicated that there was another increase on 1st April, but no idea how much.

Since then, the dealer has suggested there is some price protection from LR, but no details yet on how much it was.....

Sounds pretty much like mine. How did the complaint to JLR go??

They were sorry that I felt that way.... but thought it was quite ok to have Unicorn cars offered for sale then reduce the spec and increase the price after they'd taken the order.

I even pointed out that sending out press cars with the signature audio system to illicit rave reviews, then not making it clear to the press that the option wouldn't be available on the production cars, was also essentially false advertising. Again, they were sorry that I thought that they were shysters.
