Throttle Response Delay

Hi all, new to the forum and looking for some insight/advice. I've just bought a 64 plate RRS autobiography 4.4 SDV8 and have some questions.

I've noticed there seems to be a fairly significant delay from pressing the throttle peddle and the engine reacting. I've not timed it, but it's at least 0.5 - 1 sec delay. It makes driving at low speeds and navigating roundabouts a bit more of a challenge. Also its really hard to time an overtake when the power isn't there instantly.

Is the delay normal, or can/should something be done, or replaced to remove this delay?

Thanks in advance Very Happy

Has anyone had experience with remapping. Could this help with the throttle response issue I have?

Delay is normal, it does not drop down to first gear. I find it's worst at roundabouts, Big Cry your left in no mans land as another car is bearing down on you, so you accelerate a lot harder then all of a sudden it takes off. You can use the paddles to get down to first, but I usually forget till its too late Censored Range Rover Sport (gone): Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S: Range Rover Fifty P400e
