Your suspicion is correct. So many posts on here, Facebook etc with many insurers not even quoting and LR removing their own insurance. Really annoys me that LR were laughing all the way to the bank every time one of their vehicles got stolen and the insurance would pay out for a new one. Must have made their sales figures look amazing. But now it's come back to bite them, as myself like many others, are moving on to pastures new because of the ludicrous insurance. 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue 2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time? |

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. Unfortunately it looks like my love affair with land rover products is well and truly over! At least I have some memories! |

It's a London / S.E. area issue. My 2012 SDV6 was £300 earlier this year with business use, 20k miles, full NCD plus SMWBO as named driver.

Thanks. Yes I'm in Surrey and I also know 2 people locally who have had theirs stolen also. Maybe that's a contributing factor? Anyway, thanks for the responses. I'm off to see a man in a shiny suit with a BMW name badge |

On my last renewal with Direct Line, the cost shot up several hundred pounds. It was still cheaper than other quotes, however. When I tried to change my details (like playing with job title) the site refused to offer any insurance at all suggesting they’re not taking new policies on Range Rovers in London. Insurance has been a pain since first owning a Range Rover back in 2010. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

We're with Admiral on a multicar + house insurance policy. Our renewal has just come through for the end of this month. Premium has increased by £201 for all 3 policies which I think is alright considering. We're both mid 50's and live in Rural Wiltshire. I had a look around but again couldn't get close to Admiral. Hastings refused to quote. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

NFU are always worth a try - they insured my new Subaru Impreza Turbo back in the day - on street parking, East London postcode - £750 and that included track day cover!

You guys live in the wrong part of the world. I leave my car unlocked in the driveway all day long. Can't you get the rozzers to show the car thieves the errors of their ways. |

Try living here, you don't even have to have insurance unless you want to, not even third party. Stupid or what.

No insurance required here. But you take you chances if you hit someone and are to blame. Third party personnel damage is covered by the licencing of the vehicle.

Sounds like the same system as they have here, do have to have a MOT or WOF as they call it here though.

I'm not in London but, my insurance renewal shot up this year. I used a couple of the comparison sites and got it back down again. Seems you have to get a basket of quotes to keep it sensible at the moment.
