When you say approach lights, are you referring to the one's in the headlamps or the puddle lamps in the mirrors, as on mine they all light up when pressing the approach light button on the key fob, if just unlocking the car then only the puddle lights come on.

Cheers
Col

Sorry Col, my mistake, wrong terminology, I mean the mirror puddle lights.

I actually fitted the new mirror bodies this morning and fitted led bulbs into them.

But, as I said, when unlocking the car, the puddle lights just flash.

I had already fitted led bulbs throughout the interior abliet the glovebox.

Many thanks

Hi Jabba,

Sorry for delay in reply, i've got some resistors so i'm going to try and fit them this week if i get the time to see if this solves the issue and makes them function normally, i promise to report my findings asap. 2012 RRS HSE 5.0 SUPERCHARGED Santorini Black

Hi drexal,

Just thought I'd give you an update. I fitted the Orsam resistors to each puddle light and now they are working correctly.

Unlock the car and the mirror puddle lights illuminate and the front door internal lights don't, as expected. Turn the ignition on and off, the front door internal lights illuminate and the mirror puddles don't.

Unlock the car and the mirror puddle lights illuminate, lock the car and they extinguish.

Many thanks for everyone's input on this thread, though not my thread, it's drexal's.

Hi all,

Jabba thanks for the update, so glad you got it sorted and great to know how to solve this issue.

Sorry my conclusion is almost 2 months late 🙈.

I reached out the company i bought the bulbs from with the issues i was having & they kindly sent me out a pair of resistors to try to see if this would solve the issue. These resistors sit above the mirror lights in the mirrors, but need to be soldered into place. I currently just have them in place with tape, but will solder asap. But i can confirm the resistors solved my issue also. All works as it should now.

Thanks again for all the help from everyone. 2012 RRS HSE 5.0 SUPERCHARGED Santorini Black
