For the TDV8 5W-30 WSS-M2C913-C the spec you need. I've been using Shell Helix.

Lots of people with D3 2.7 cars saying 5W 40 C3 is now better, and to change it every 6K to 7.5K to ensure bearings don't go early. |

Lots of people saying 5W40 is better, with no testing or technical information, other than a higher HTHS rating (which is largely irrelevant due to the temperatures involved)
