This seems a bit steep to me - granted they are incl all parts/labour and VAT (wouldn't all that be included anyway...) but even so it's the best part of £500. Haven't they heard of the credit crunch.

So - shall I shop around or just accept it???

Try GS Wakefield, my price differed when i rang them

or B.A.S unless your after the LR stamp

Always shop about, but that price is pretty average for a main dealer service dept.

Its just cost me £750 for a 45,000 mile service

Shop around, i know it could be a bit of a trek but try Hull and Doncaster

I've just had a 45k miles service at Ripon Land Rover and it came to £369 all in....

And they replaced the following parts under warranty...

- PDC module & wiring looms (Front/Rear).
- PTI bluetooth module and software upgrade (phonebook now syncs with PTI).

In addition I paid £45 (half hours labour) for them to put a new smooth leather steering wheel on.

Just picked mine up from Hartwell Land Rover Oxford after a 3 year service, with only 12,500 on the clock, £386 including the MOT, no parts except the usual oil etc.

They offered me their 12 months warranty for £535 including MOT cover up to £500 and Hartwell Assist, not bad but the Tesco finest is still cheapest and both are supplied by Car Care Plan Ltd, was still cheaper even after I included Green Flag Recovery Plus at £60 pa.  Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

I just had mine serviced. She only has 22k on the clock but had her 30k service done last week at Parks Landrover in Ayr (Scotland). Brilliant customer service and very reasonable at £320. Excellent value. If you see a bandwagon - it's too late.....

Is it OK to purchase all the parts required for the service prior to arrival and then ask the dealer to use them, oil for example is marked up extortionatly by many dealers?

Just had my 07 HSE TDV6 2nd service complete, £555 inc. VAT. Only included the standard parts you'd expect. Also they replaced the front bushes under warrenty which has temporarily solved the front knocking.

I shopped around Bucks & Berks and couldn't find it cheaper!
