Iirc it’s the opposite to service mode.Instead off punching the button to the off position,,pull it. Andy.

I tried that but can't remove it. I wasn't quite sure how I managed to activate it that's the problem.

Just did my rear brakes and struggled to get the handbrake out of maintenance mode, remembered this post and hey presto, all done. The videos don’t say to change the way you move the handbrake lever. It was the rimmer bros video I watched for the info. I found the best tool for getting the calliper pushed back was one of the multi rewind tools as you can’t just get a large wrench or g clamp on without risking damage to the plastic housing.
