Would I miss the SDV8 if I move to a D300 663?

My RRS is now 7 years old, great car and tows my Off Road van with ease. I have been thinking of going the Defender route for my next drive. Looking at The D300 X HSE , with a few options. I have 176,000 K's on my current drive and touch wood it has been trouble free once the oil level sender harness was replaced 80,000 K's ago.

The SDV8 HSE has everything I need and still has some advantages over the D300 , big brakes is one biggie for me.

So is there a compelling argument to buy? M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

The only argument would be newer infotainment stuff. Anything else is "it's newer" or "it looks nicer" and those are really just personal preference.

Otherwise, I don't see why one would get rid of a good vehicle that meets all of your needs and you know it inside out. A new model is always going to be prone to issues so moving to the newer model is probably best done after it has been in the hands of others for a year or two. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yeh I think it is a hard call, really like the SDV8 for towing my off road van which loaded is about 3.2 tons. The sport has a lot of advantages. I think Land Rover will update power output to 700 NM for the 6 as they are doing that now in the D350 RRS. I am in no hurry and D300's are selling at a premium ATM. I am thinking as the world economy slows we will get more realistic pricing or at least vehicles held in stock at dealers. Already I am getting calls from dealers saying they have vehicles from cancelled orders , as interest rates rise I am sure this will continue.

I must say I am interested to understand the new in line 6 a little better, for example are the cams chain or belt driven? Would be keen to understand reliability and build issues. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
