United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

I would use a non Land Rover body shop just to keep the cost down.

I'm not sure if this type of repair would go onto the vehicles history anyway. I used a Land Rover body shop to repair some severe paintwork scratches after a botched Autoglass windscreen repair. The total cost of repair was about £650 and that included Autoglass cutting out and replacing the glass themselves. Autoglass paid for everything as it was their workmen who caused the paint damage in the first place.

When I came to change the vehicle twelve months later the dealership didn't even mention the repair. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I agree TB that cost is an important factor, but the alternative cheaper bodyshop still needs to deliver a high standard of repair or will be a false economy. LR dealers will always be premium priced, but glad to hear the work isnt recorded on vehicle history or could create problems later. I have a local bodyshop who does a great job for £35ph cash, excellent previous work on my Porsches and never been spotted at sale. As Kaine pointed out in his post about Shukers in Shrewsbury, not all Land Rover dealers have a dedicated body shop and send any body repair work out to other repair shops with a large mark up on repair costs.

So I'm all for cutting out the middle man and reducing cost. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Absolutely! My local dealer uses a private independent bodyshop miles away and I know the middleman mark-up is substantial! Save your money.., cut LR out of the equation wherever possible! Thumbs Up MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

Thats where my name comes form VA
Had the organised car theives in our street last Sept at 4-40am, nice sunny morning with the window open, problem is my son has real bad epileptic fits but only in his sleep, so I am a very light sleeper now.
They came with the intention of taking my RR and my mates TT from over the road
5 louts in a stolen Toyota with a screw driver as a key. I stuck the gun through the window and gave them 10 seconds to get the F--- out of my street. One cheeky little Censored was half way through the window
So I thought it would be rude not to blow the windows out of their car.
