It’s always going to be cheaper in the long run to take out these plans, mainly because you protect against inflation. The dealer wins because they have guaranteed up front business. Everyone is happy. I took out a plan on my fatty, £3200 which takes me to 2027. I mean, seriously, a single service in 2027 will probably be £2500!

Take it to someone that cares and will do it correctly first time i.e. a decent indie. Your warranty is still covered - although you'll have to use a LR dealer for any manufacturer's warranty work.
